Barnevelder rooster temperament

I know all roos and hens are all different, but I was wondering if anyone has had any general experience raising Barnevelder roos. I've only always had hens and branching out into "boy town" is new to me.

I had planned on three specific breeds of roos for my girls and somehow ordered a Barnevelder instead of a Black Australorp. Oops. They sure are handsome but the only review on that particular site said hers was "evil" which bummed me out a bit. He'd become expensive soup if he was a jerk.

Would love to hear other's experiences.

I have gotten 2 barnevelder roosters from My Pet Chicken. The one we currently have and the one before him were/are nice roosters. They are more meek, mines on the bottom of the rooster pecking order, but he's a gentle curious rooster who looks out for any hens when he gets a chance. I have a bit of trouble with frostbite on their combs, wattles and toes, but I definitely would get another.
