But on the first pic, 'Chip' is looking quite masculine with those large thick legs, but don't count on it at their age

Too early to tell. Post pictures when they’re 8 weeks old. They are very cute.

I could tell when mine started getting their barring in on their wings. Boys have nice straight bars and a lot of them. Girls are darker. Let me see if I can find a pic.

OK, found it. Here is a male and female barred rock. The male got straight white barring as soon as his wing feathers started. The female's came in black. As they feather out, it becomes more and more obvious.

If you're asking me, yes. I got them from tractor supply at the same time. I took the pics to ask on here. It was a couple years ago.
