Barred rock, boy or girl??

Ok so this is my 3 week old barred rock. I have two, and this one is double the size of the other, same age, same hatchery. It’s suppose to be a girl, and as far as my novice googling can tell me, the coloring seems right for female, but s/he’s huge, has big ol feet and the comb is much bigger than the rest of my chicks.
So while I know it’s a little young to be certain, can y’all give me a guess anyway

Are those legs yellow or pink? You will need to wait another 2 weeks or so and see if that comb gets pink or red.

I honestly can't tell when they're this little. If you could post more pictures in a few weeks it should be more obvious by then. It's sure a real cutie though

You can't tell by looking at BR leg color or size of head dot unless they are from a controlled line, and only within that controlled line.

As to your chick, nothing is screaming roo at this point. Continue to watch and wait. BR roo often develop fairly early, but I've also had precocious girls.

So...time will tell. You should have a better idea in about 4 weeks. Watch for developing comb and wattles....and distinct pink-red.

I had one that was bigger than the rest and just looked diffrent and I could have sworn it was a cockerel. Turned out to be a pullet.

Legs are yellow with a dark wash on the front. I am keeping a constant suspicious eye on the comb, that’s the one thing that’s got me thinking, who are you little one?

I swore mine was a cockerel because she had a fast growing comb. She's my one and only BPR, do I had no one to compare her to. However, once that barring came in, it seemed darker than the pics of boys I found online. If the comb isn't a tell-tale sign, the coloring of the bars will help. Boys have more contrast in their barring patterns and are much lighter/whiter than girls, who are darker and grayer.
