Barred Rock...can't tell the gender on this one

Hi! I was told that this one was a boy...but he/she is noticibly smaller and darker then the one that in know for sure is a roo. Any experts out there...they are 3 months old

Looks like a roo in coloring and red comb. Maybe he is just a later bloomer?

With that light barring and a comb that red at 3 months, it looks to me like you have a cockerel.
