    Hi.
I am crossing my Barred Plymouth Rock rooster with my Red Sussex Cross hens, a cross between a RIR rooster and Columbian Rock hens. Will the offspring turn out like those of RIR roosters crossed with Barred Rock hens? Thanks.

Quote:Your making a cross of a cross its a shot in the shot in the dark. I can definetly tell you some will be pullets and some will be cockrells, color and type is anyones guess and likely all over the board. But should be good layers that is unless thier cockrells.

Thanks. I just had no idea what they would be like. I wanted more variety in my flock.

Yes, Chris is right, they'll all have barring. I've done it many times, having till recently, always had a BR rooster over the main flock.
