Thank you. Not exactly what l wanted to hear. He is the calmest and friendliest of the 6.Handsome boy
There's an Easter Egger cockerel as well in the first pictureI have a barred Rock that has started developing a comb and waddles. Compared to one the same age, the comb is alot larger. It is 8 weeks old, or so l was told. Is it a rooster?
See how this bird's pattern looks more black and white and the first looks more grey and white/lighter overall? Female barred rocks have one copy of the barring gene, males have two. Two copies of the gene result in wider white bars, giving the overall lighter appearance. If you see them side by side its generally quite noticeableThey we're 3 weeks old when l got them. Here's a pick of one same age with very small comb and darker.
Without a doubtSo you think this is a Cockerel too? That's not good news for me.
Well, you were right on the EE being a roo. He tried to crow for the first time today. It was so cute. Of course my other rooster wasn't happy about it. He went crazy when he heard it. Thanks for the help.Without a doubt
