Look like cockerels to me too, but there's a chance chick 2 could be a pullet. I've had the foot shading change on me, so you never know until a little feathering comes in.

Not that I know anything about BR or chickens in general, but I have 3 BR myself, that are 7 weeks old. Pretty sure at least two of mine are hens. All of mine had the same sort of head spot and same colored legs. Slightly orangish yellow with darker fronts.

Heck, all mine might be roos. We'll all find out in a few months huh??

I'm trying to remain hopeful that at least one is a pullet. I've been wanting to get one of the BR for awhile now.
@ Akirkley; Best of luck and I hope you have hens too. If you could post what they turn out to be, that would be great!
When I look at them, chick 1 and chick 3 look "beefier" overall, while number 2 looks more dainty. Has me hoping, but what do I know with no experience with this breed.

I like your opinion the best LOL! I sure hope you are right. Thanks for sharing your pic, very cute babies The waiting to see who's who is really tough. I keep going over and looking at them for any changes while I should be doing other things! LOL

Where did you get them?

*Should be* pullets will feather faster than cockerels. There are some characteristic places that cockerels are slow to feather, like the middle of the back, but I had a breeder araucana that feathered fast and looked JUST like a BSL girl. Go figure. Yours all look like boys, unfortunately.

ETA: Post new pictures in about a week. They develop quickly and more feathers will help sexing.

I really hope I don't get all boys from chicks out of the Pullet Bin - terrible luck for sure. Got them at my local store (TSC). The quickest feathering has been on #1 and #3 which also are bigger and show less frontal dark shading than #2. Doesn't really make sense to me but I'm trying my best to learn about them. I'll post more pics in a week and hopefully things will look up for me. I haven't even begun to post pics and ask for opinions of my Straight Run SLW's yet..gosh I hope I did somewhat okay there. At least I have my Golden Comets and BSL's to make sure to get some eggs

TIP: wait until they are 3 weeks old and check above their butts for a round bump, it's an oil gland and only males have it...
