Barred Rock thread!!

So of my chicks that I recently got - Australorps, Barred Rocks and Speckled Sussexes, it would appear my BR are going to be my dominant hens.

Yeah the black ones are definitely barred rocks. And the other ones could be ameracaunas or easter eggers. Both are super good birds.

Love my barred rocks, so friendly and gentle. The girls are always talking to me. Here is a pick of my main roo. We named him Bob. He is 11 months old.

This is actually day 2 of having my barred rocks and I'm smitten

. I am also getting two 3 months old Buff Orp and 2 Wyandotte. Hoping they all will get along. Should I be sure all are vaccinated against Mareks?

I am going to keep them separate until the barreds are old enough.

I would ask if they've been vaccinated, yes. Are you getting the Wyandottes and BO from same place?
