Hello Barred Rock Fans
I'm new to this thread and barred rocks.  I raise Ameraucana and sell the eggs.  my DH lamented last year we didn't have enough eating eggs as I was selling them for hatching so he wanted more birds.  I suggested Barred Rocks because the egg color would be easy to not confuse with the money makers' eggs. 
So I ordered 4 barred rocks, lost 1 to a hawk and have 3 left.  they started laying last week.  I have collected 3 eggs EVERY day from these pullets until yesterday....when I collected 4!  More than 1 egg a day?!   from  pullets,?!   is this normal?  Is this the egg production I should be expecting from them?
Thank you for your responses as I am failingly unfamiliar with this breed.

i have three barred rock hens as well and somedays i find four eggs.

I have three Barred rock "pullets" (at least that is what Southern States called them ) but one has a bunch more feathers than the other three. By the way, they are 1week old

I haven't had any personal issues but the BR roo, we did get a BR that was having isuues with the other BR's including a roo and would fly into the silkie pen so we bought her with the silkies and now she's top hen in that pack. I know they can be bit bossy but pretty nice chickens, I did meet the roo from the farm and he was pussy but didn't seem too aggressive.

I put him in his place and now he doesn't bother me but he goes after my five year old if she is alone, and attacks my one year old throw the sliding glass door , witch is hard not to find funny he is young just turned so i hope he just needs to learn him place

Hopefully he will leave the little one's alone, but sometimes animals just don't see children like they see adults.

i love my barred rocks! they're my first flock and i LOVE them! i can't believe how sweet and smart they are.
