A sex-link is a mutt but a mutt is not necessarily a sex-link. Some breedsbred together produce a hybrid that the genders have different colors at hatching hence a sex-link. Other breeds dont always produce this result

first off let me say that barred rocks are my breed of choice i love them to death

when they start getting up there in the the years they do start getting a dengy yellowish color up around there necks BUT not like the one that you showed the other yes.
my flock is pure and segragrated from all other birds. the patern is not right on that one bird but still a good looking bird for what it is.
