How do you bathe a hard feathered bird for show? Or do you just wipe it down and hope for the best?
I have a suggestion for you. I use a soft sponge and just sponge soapy water over the feathers then sort of "brush" in a downward motion on the top and bottom sides of the feathers. The bottom is harder but it works. I also have given them a washing in the bathtub and used the faucet to get a little harder "spray" on them, to help loosen the dirt.

At any local pharmacy. I got mine from the Wal-Mart Pharmacy. I can't remember where exactly it was located. Its marketed as a skin protectanct.
LOVE the photo where he is staring at you and looks ticked!
How do you wash their head, poof area. I thought I read it was kind of hard because you don't want to get any water in the nostrils.
My Oprah has all kinds of junk in her top know and I need to do a THOROUGH washing on it. I tried to rinse it a bit last time, but didn't work out too much.
ANd what was the glycerin for? Sorry if you said somewhere and I didn't see it.
