Caged Bird and Parrot Thread!!!!

Yoshi has a collection of plants. She doesn't chew on them though, as of yet. Her wings were clipped when he got her and slowly growing back, so they're out of reach. But they are all bird-safe.
In the room I first had her in, I had put up tropical wallies on the walls. She'd stare up at those palm leaves trying to figure out how to get up there. Unfortunately, their reputation for easy removal was false, so to date, they aren't in her new room-but it's bigger, has 2 windows, one looking out into the flower garden (she likes to yell at winged intruders she sees out there.).
She gets to come out in the living rm in the evening when things settle down, but during the day she stays in her room for her own safety and I go to her. I may have gone overboard- plants, lots of foraging, climbing, chewing options, different areas to investigate, bright windows, music and youtube videos of other parrots. I can't be in there every second, so wanted her to have ways to safely entertain herself. She seems to have adapted, but if I stay away too long, I hear about it.
She's getting braver abt using her wings to flutter down to the floor. Imagine my surprise while cleaning, & out of the corner of my eye, I thought a green mouse was headed my way. Silly girl,I squealed and she ran to me faster for protection.:lau
I'm fascinated by birds in general. I think I mentioned she was a gift from a pet store. Not sure why it didn't dawn on me that a bird with clipped wings sitting in a big glass box wouldn't be very active. It's a treat to see her getting stronger, doing birdie acrobatics, hanging upside down, gaining more control of her "voice" but still being my snuggly fluffyface.
Awwwwww that’s awesome!!!!!

I have been on this forum for over a decade and NEVER been on a parrot thread 😅 anyone here have lovebirds? I always told myself no parrots because the only species I ever clicked with was conures. Alas, I've ALWAYS had parakeets because people see i like birds and think "oh ill get her a bird" 🫠 .
So my birb Timothy who was gifted years ago recently helped me foster a parakeet and convinced me to get him a buddy. The breeder i found was so sweet and might have sold me on a lovebird 😬 i didn't bring one home, but im thinking a lovebird might be more comfortable for my buddies than a future pigeon which was in the plans (I used to keep a flock of 30 some). Is a lovebird more suitable for a parakeet house mate than a pigeon? Bird in question would be mainly my companion. Birds get 4 hours of free flight in the birb room a day and we have plenty of flight cages so space isn't a issue. Here's Timothy and his annoying new baby sibling Marshmallow 😅
