Battle for Survival - African Wild dog RP (Needs players!!) *Restarted*

Quote: Omari continued to chase Kala despite the unexpected turn she made which made him loose his footing.
Quote: Nia scowled but quickly dissolved into laughter as she began to bounce around him.
Quote: Nia's heart was pounding, her pulse deafening as it roared through her veins. "Yes!" She yipped her delight then nuzzled him affectionately.
Quote: Omari kept tumbling until he was right-side up then he leaped towards Kala.
Quote: Foluke raised his muzzle, opening his jaw to let the cool air slide over his tongue. There were no alarming scents. No off-putting tastes that might alert him to danger. He barked then wagged his tail, "You guys eat first," he lowered his head to Sierra and Kofi.

Badru's muscles quivered as he hunched down, angling for Marzipan's chest.

Marzipan darted around behind him tapped him on the back and ran off, keen for a chase.
"Come get me Badru, Zalkia and Sine" he called.

Badru wheeled around and dashed towards Marzipan; his sister reluctantly got up and participated in the chase. Zalika rolled her eyes, her bell-like laughter rang through the night air.
Marzipan turned around to see all 3 dogs chasing him down. He made his way through the thick brush, dogging, jumping, crawling and well...running!
Badru let out a sharp bark to capture Sine's attention; through barely noticeable ear flicking and tail twitches they came up with a plan. Darting, changing direction, doing everything he could do to distract Marzipan, Sine was able to put on a fresh burst of speed to catch up to the much larger wild dog.

As the two pups came closer Marzipan decided to change directions. He ran up a half fallen tree, then turned and jumped back down over the youngsters and started running in the opposite direction...but he had forgotten about Zalika!

Zalika skidded to a halt and at the last possible moment threw herself to the side.

Marzipan hadn't been looking the right way, instead looking back at the pups to see the expression on their faces. He too jumped away to avoid the collision but unfortunately landed in a thick acacia bush, howling in pain the the thorn dug into his rugged coat, piercing his skin.
Zalika quickly hopped up and ran to Marzipan's aid. "Calm down," she growled through tightly clenched teeth as she reached over and snatched his tail.

Marzipan wriggled and squirmed with the discomfort of the thorns. He Slowly but surely dragged his way out of the mangled bush, still very much covered in thorns.
Zalika stretched her neck over towards Marzipan and began to quickly yank thorns off of him. "Next time be careful," she kept her voice low.

"Ouch" he hissed, but he quickly changed his tone "So much for sympathy" he said jokingly.
"I said be careful," Zalika attempted to bare her teeth at him, but her effort rapidly transformed into a dog grin.
Marzipan smiled back at her, staring into her eyes....but his vision was broken when he though of the pups. He looked all around him "where are the youngsters?" he asked worried. He had lost sight of them as he went tumbling into the acacia bush.
"Weren't they over there?" Her blood went icy when she realized that Sine and Badru were no longer in the spot she'd thought they were in.

"Sine! Badru!" Marzipan barked out! He ran over to where Zalika had last seen the pups and sniffed the ground for signs. "I can't smell them" he barked worryingly...."But I can smell Hyena!"
Zalika lowered her muzzle, testing the air. Nothing. "They've got to be here somewhere," she flattened her ears against her skull as she began to search.

Marzipan ran back over to the fallen tree he climbed just earlier. He made his way to the top a called out to the two youngsters....nothing. "I can't see them from up here" he called down to Zalika.

Kala suddenly dove into some tall grass trying to hide.

Udo was lost and not just that he didn't know where he was; he had spent most of his life not knowing where he was. It was different now, he couldn't just glance over and see his mothers familiar side trotting beside him and he couldn't bow into spontaneous play with his brother. He was lost. Alone.

His paws seemed more tired now and his heart just wasn't in the moving. Somewhere his logic side of his brain told him that he couldn't stay there where strange, upright creatures were taking over. He had begun moving days ago, watching the sun close in on long, warm days and then rise back up several times. He had taken down a few small creatures but alone the larger animals were out of reach. He chased a pack of Impala but they had easily outrun him. A herd of zebra had barely even ran from him. A young zebra had stared at him without much concern and he had just stared back.

Udo was less alert than usual, his rounded ears hanging limply and his tail swinging loosely behind him. He paused suddenly and ducked under a brush to the cool sand in the shade. He flopped down and laid his head on his paws with a sigh.

Tayla let out barks for any wild dog to hear. She was still looking for her sister that she was separated from a long time ago. She was starting to lose hope that she would find her sister. Little that Tayla knew was her sister, Kala, had found a pack and made the assumption that she was dead. Tayla scanned the horizon again for any wild dogs.

Quote: Nia's tongue lolled out before she spun around, bounding away from the cover of the trees into the golden sea of swaying grass. She yipped and put on another burst of speed, revealing the power of her limbs.
Quote: Omari skidded to a halt, his brown irises swimming with moonlight. A wicked grin was plastered on his muzzle as he examined the area.

Udo's head snapped up abruptly as a sound filled his sorrowful ears. He listened, at first uncertain. No, it was! Barking! He jumped up and headed torward the sound. His thin legs picked up more and more speed, dodging trees and leaping over rocks and fallen logs. Somewhere he knew that it wasn't really what he was hoping for. Somewhere he even knew that he didn't recognize the bark and that his could easily be running into danger. Still he pressed on in some insane hope that he couldn't bare to let go of.

When the barking was close he slowed to a jog and then finally came to a stop. His lungs searched for air from the sudden burst of speed but it was a good feeling, one that he would get from a long hunt. But this wasn't a hunt and his goal wasn't to "flush" out the prey. So he ducked low like a lion stalking it's food. He slid to a brush and peered through the rough brambles. There was a dog for sure but it wasn't his family. He could feel the disappointment sink in and then he pushed it away. She didn't seem like she would attack him so he stepped out slowly. Hoping not to startle her, he purposely snapped a brittle twig beneath his white paw. "Hello?" he said, his voice rough from the lack of use and sand.

Tayla jumped when she heard a twig snap. The wild dog almost seemed relieved to see another wild dog. She figured he must be friendly and replied back,"Hello. I'm Tayla."
