Had you actually had lice and mites prior to pre-seasoning your chickens?I put garlic powder in my chickens’ feed when I refill the feeders. Lice and mites don’t seem to like garlic flavored blood.

...and used only garlic to get rid of them?Yes.
I use this spray on the birds as well when I discovered the lice....and used only garlic to get rid of them?
uhShort video of my flock around the feeding area. At the end you see Fraggle with her spectacles and Eggsmerelda next to her looking pale. If there are no lice or mites should I put some vitamins in the water?
Eggsmerelda doesn’t look anemic pale. She looks to be out of production for now. Nothing to worry about.uh

Thanks! I kinda thought so but this is my first winter with laying chickens. Last winter the oldest were 12 weeks old.Eggsmerelda doesn’t look anemic pale. She looks to be out of production for now. Nothing to worry about.
Hi, only joined today, learned about pecking order from this site although I have been observing it for years, have 4 New Hampshire's about 10/12 week old hatchlings, You should see them sizing each other, I have two Old English Gamer's, moved them into their own enclosed area, the one played mother to the new chicks, she will attack any other chicken coming close to them. CHICKEN's?Dunno looked like the smaller one came up to your BR. The BR is just a better fighter. I’ll have to watch it again. Looked like a little scuffle. If you ever witness a “fight” it’s relentless, awful. Best wishes
