Is it close to you? We are in between the 2 large fires in the North Bay. Smoke is not fun, but we are lucky this time... no evacuation for us... so far.

I hope all of you stay safe! I am in Mountain View, which is in the Peninsula but part of Santa Clara County. The smoke is not as bad as it is in some other places, but not healthy most days, either. According to Air Now, the air was rated at 76 (moderate quality) as of 8 PM.

Very close to us! How close are you to the fires?

The one in Sonoma county is about 20 miles to the west. One in Napa county, about 30 miles to the east.
I feel bad for everyone who got displaced by the fires. We had to evacuate in 2017 for over a week. Not fun.

Dare2dream farms (dare2dreamfarms.com) in Lompoc is having a 10% sale off on coops, they are also selling pullets and hens that were picked on. Dare2dream farms has great sexing and good breeds, my chickens are from them. When they sell day-old chicks, they are pretty cheap but good quality. I love my chickens, totally recommend this farm. There is also only a minimum of two chickens, which is good if you live in an urban setting. You can also pick up their chickens in Los Gatos instead of Lompoc
