Help! My boyfriend and I are talking about moving in together. He lives in Pittsburg [Bay Point] California. Anybody on this list from there? I've looked at the ordinances and it says no, but that's not always accurate. Any help will be appreciated....

Can't leave my chickens!!!

It says no, but there is contact information on the page for the clerks office. Contact them to see if there has been recent action on this. If not maybe you can use the change laws section here for tips on getting the law changed there.

Antioch is close and allows chickens. Maybe you two could move there?

Pittsburg and Bay Point are two different jurisdictions. the City Of Pittsburg supersedes the county and does not allow chickens. (They seem to be lax in enforcement however) which is good for me)
Bay point is under county control and falls under the Contra Costa County animal control.
