Bay Area BYCers!

Boy I hear you Kim. I forgot to take my medicine yesterday & I can barely move without my Celebrex.....LOL. I took it for sure today.
I think the move has everyone off their game, well some of them anyway. Aaron found the Wheaten Marans eating an egg today and they have afeeder full of food right there. My Delawares are doing that too. They have been doing it awhile though. This is new behavior for the Wheatens..Always something I tell ya!!!!
Aaron is out building an angle iron frame to hold those rooster cages I ordered. We are going to stack them on the North side of the new pens with a sloped piece of sheet metal between them for clean up. Slow but sure we're getting there. Of course I have too many birds for the pens so we are weeding down.
I am going to wing tag a bunch more today & try to choose who goes to the auction.

Ohhh I wanna see those roo pens when you're done. My roo addiction needs some organization. LOL

Still hurting. I haven't moved much at all. My neck, shoulder and back at killing me.

Sorry you feel so bad Kim. This warm weather kills me but I like to go out in little doses. All the pens are in the shade now so it is cooler out there with the chickens now. Aaron & I did a partial inventory & targeted some birds for the auctions. If I make the decisions now we can just load them up when the time comes.

So, for those of you wanting to come up to Sonoma County, and just wanting to go see the judging, would Tuesday 11am for brunch work? Then we could go see the birds and watch the judging together. (Walt, do you have a more specific time??) Those of you showing birds, would that timing work at all for you? I am unclear about what time you check your birds in, what you need to do to get ready, etc. Anyone want to join me 11am at The Omelet Express (seems appropriate) in Railroad Square in Santa Rosa. Easy on and off the 101, only about 8 minutes from the fairgrounds. http://omeletteexpress.com/

Whatcha
all think??

I snapped some nice photos of Lil' Joe this morning. He is looking good!

I have a question

Can another person show your birds for you, or do you have to attend the show?

Sorry I used to show dogs for 40 years and I'd sometimes have a handler or I was a handler, so I just suddenly realized I don't know the answer to this for poultry.
