Bay Area BYCers!

Jeremy,
Beautiful photos, as always ... still taking them with your phone?

Kim, Sarah and Daphne, thank you!

Daphne, I took these pictures with my Canon digital camera, it has much better zoom capabilities and macro settings, I wouldn't have been able to get those shots of the birds in the trees with my phone without them being blurry.

Ok - my turn for more pictures, even if they are from my phone...I have asked Santa for a new Camera hope he comes through.
My chickens love the day after the rain more than us humans do, they played around all day in the tall grass today loving the bugs and mud.

These two ladies seemed to have a scratch and snatch bug cooperative going on....I guess 4 legs are better than two.

I am sure this picture captures her true spirit she really never shuts up.

My daughter Jordan is showing the Trio of D'anvers fo 4h this spring and summer, I cant wait to see her in the showmanship. The two little pullets are easily the friendliest and most curious of our entire flock.

THe buff laced brahmas are 9 weeks old this week, I am fairly certain the biggest two are boys. They are giant compared to the other 6.

Love seeing pics, especially after my horrible last night and day today. Toby my 12 year old chocolate labrador, just stopped being able to stand on his back legs. He has a history of hip displasia surgery and we've treated him with acupuncture that works really amazingly well. But this has never happened before. After a whole night of morphine and then a whole day today of exams and more exams and then a drive to redwood city for an MRI, we still are awaiting results tomorrow morning. We have him home tonight with us and we are just snuggling him as much as he will let us.

ok Cheryl you made me think my chicken math was worse than it is 6 pullets(one is goldenlaced) and two cockerels 8 all together phew....One of the girls has a single comb but she is of course my absolute favorite for personality.....my niece has been begging me to let her have that one, I think I will give in with the stipulation that she has to take the little cochin cross cockerel that pals around with her too...one less boy around here if she falls for it

What a rough night, I am so sorry to hear about Toby.

Hope the results are promising and that he is feeling better.

Jeremy -- I cant say enough good things about the D'anvers. I didn't want anything that little My husband talked me into them and I am so glad he did, especially considering how little they eat and how little room they take up they are packed with personality! It was a win win

Of course now I want more, So guess what we will be hatching this Spring
