I had such high hopes that LD (aka Lemon Drop) wouldn't crow. He was past 23 weeks old when he started. It was a sad day for us.

Ah but Jeremy I have lucked out 3 times.... fabio the huge buff brahma ONLY crows when I need to add feed to the feeder. My other brahma I sold didn't crow and the the silkie I lost only crowed for food and a few times when the other boys were let out

But maybe cheryl will luck out but then again he could get noisier being away from the other boys, fabio when he crows sounds more like a goose honk, and my neighbors like him , so no worries. Pretty boy crows his happy face off if in the coop in the am , so roo box for him , until decent time.

They might not have crowed a lot... but they did. LOL.

Believe me, I wish more than anything there was a way to keep my boys quiet for life here in the city, it's just not possible though.

Asking a rooster not to crow would be like asking the sun not to shine.

She is a mix 1/2 RIR 1/2 EE but looks 100% RIR I'm watching her sister "Holly"She's in and out of the nest box all day today. Her comb is equally red. She looks just like rosie except has white earlobes. I'm dieing to see if she lays a white egg!
