I wanted to share a picture of my Platinum Sumatra cockerel, I'm going to hopefully pick up a Black pullet or two for him tomorrow... if everything goes as planned and we get the rooster noise ordinance overturned then I'll be breeding Sumatra, too.

You can really see the Dun (Chocolate) color in his saddle feathers now, it's also becoming visibly apparent in his hackles. I'm very excited to have this boy!

I'm a dork, I sent it to Illia...just overwhelmed spent the whole day 8am-7pm working on the pens at the ranch

I know. I almost bid. I have a pair though. And if I brought another big roo into the yard fabio would kill me....as would pretty boy. I just rehomed 3 roo's . Trying not to get anymore lol.

I'm really pleased with the auction, the trio + one extra hen are going to such a nice person that already has some and just wants a bigger flock very cool, but now I have to ship them back east.

Plus the money will come in handy for the ranch pen remodel - galvanized roofing is so expensive for a 16" x 30" foot space...

On a better note...this is one of our 3 Quail D'anvers we picked up at PASO...well my mom and sister did...the madness is not mine...
