Oh sorry didn't lose him in a sense of sickness or death, he actually is still at the ranch living with all of Sienna Ranch's lovely ladies and loving it. I gave him up because I wasn't happy with some points of his confirmation. I'm being really really picky on these silver pencils and mille fleur leghorns, even if it sets me back a few steps. Sometimes a mini fault doesn't show until they are adults

Good to know!

I'm going to place the order for the chicken/got eggs jacket Anna was wearing at the last get together. I will have them to give to anyone that ordered them at stockton. If anyone else wants to order please PM me with your email address and I'll send you all the info.

I just noticed the big message saying the site will be changed over to a new one tomorrow.

I read the notice and it says there will be outages tomorrow.

How will we live through it

Sad news to report.

While I was gone this afternoon, a hawk took one of our girls. My son went out and it flew away. One of our other girls was missing, but
eventually reappeared when I called her. They're all locked in the Faraday Run now. Guess we're going to have to expand the run or something...

RIP Rosalba, our beautiful, friendly, Mille Fleur Leghorn from Cheryl Cohen.

At least Veronica, her hatchmate, seems well-integrated with the rest of the flock.

That's so sad, Anna. I know that the same thing is going to happen to our flock one of these days since we let them free range all day long. But knowing that it will probably happen still doesn't prepare one for the feeling of loss when it actually does happen.

Oh Anna, I'm so sorry for your loss!

We have a resident Coopers Hawk who likes to hang around the trees in our backyard, I always know when he's around because the birds start hollering.

So far we've been lucky, he hasn't attempted to take any of the birds but I'm trying to find ways to keep him away from our yard.

We should all get emus, I've heard they're great flock guardians.
