BB White turkey -- Its A Boy!

Went outside this morning to feed everyone (the turkey, a goose, and some wild ducks that visit), and discovered that "someone" has pulled all of the feathers out of the back of the goose's neck! :O It's nesting season here, if that's relevant.
Is there any chance that this is a dominance behaviour? Or is this another big arrow pointing in the direction of "jake"?

Personally, I would say a dominance thing. My pet female turkey (who is moulting right now) has made it her goal in life to let every roo in the yard know that she's bigger than they are (by like 25 lbs). Although they knock her down repeatedly she is still doing this. It's quite entertaining to watch

But I would guess a dominance thing for sure...not necessarily a male thing........although everything in OUR logic says MALE

Should I separate them? Pen the turkey for a while? Normally I'd say the goose can look after herself, but when she's on her nest she's a lot more vulnerable... and if previous years are anything to go by she will go broody, and then she won't get up for any reason.

I would hate to end up dividing my turkey from the others if it is a jake, he loves being with the chickens. As of right now, he/she is as gentle as ever with everyone out there. -- but if that is true about the odd sound response, then it must be a male!

Sorry to hear about your goose getting picked on, justanotheramy -- I wonder if mine may start with that in the near future?

I will just have to wait and see for all these things...

I am guessing a male so far on mine.

Looks like a hen to me also. I don't know about the toe thing. My hens' middle toes are longer than the other two-same as the jakes.

Whatever it is, I hope it tells me soon...lol
I figure him/her to be almost 3 1/2 months old now.
So funny to watch her drink from the garden hose...her head follows the stream up and down as if inspecting or admiring it first.
