Be careful what you say in public forums!

Maybe the roo has his own FB acccount?

WTH - everyone seems to these days.
Even advertisers, TV & radio stations are urging you to contact them through FB!
If not FB, then Twitter or one of the other "Social Networks"

Call them what you want - like it has been said here: anything posted on the Web is liable to be read by anyone anywhere and a lot of the freakazoids out there have nothing better to do than stir things up.

I got suckered into setting up a FB account, but it is unused and if I weren't such a procrastinator would have been taken down long ago.

OP:
I hope you find out the moron who reported your "abuse" & let them "have it" before deleting them permanently from your FB World.

Sorry about this happening to you. Some people just doesn't understand when it come to animals and their behaviors toward humans, sometimes they just need an adjustment. They (the people) seem to think it is abuse. Stick to BYC we all understand you.

Some people are so clueless. I wish you had given the lady the bird!

I took my boys (they're six) to a living history museum last week. They had a pair of leghorns. Well, the roo was rather territorial (interesting choice for a museum I thought) and started coming at my boys. Knowing how to handle chickens, they flapped their "wings" at him and gave him a couple of light kicks until the bird backed off. The lady leading us around gasped and told the boys to stop. "We want him to like kids," she said.

I tried to explain to her that the only way the bird was going to get along with kids was if he understood that kids are the boss of him. She didn't want to hear it. Wonder how long before the ole boy gets re-homed.

some people are just old biddies. I have seen some footage of a commercial chicken house and someone taped one of them supposedly abusing them. geez they showed them holding a chicken upside down by the feet and said that was abuse? maybe these people should try to pick up an angry rooster or hen for that matter. sometimes its the only way to handle them. i would have done something to my rooster if he were that nasty. i would have invited him in to be supper. old bags had no right calling the cops on you.

You don't think your head of IT comes here and checks your posts? ANYTHING you say online is public.
Sorry you had this trouble, some people are clueless.
I worked with a person who was fired for various reasons, one of them being what he said he would like to do to our manger on FB.
I go there and enjoy it for what it is.

Sadly enough, in this politically correct world common sense and logic no longer prevail. More people need to get back to the farm and a rational knowledge of and response to animals.
