So, I was holding my little silkie chick and then I noticed that her beak was curving to the side a bit... She is a little over 3 weeks old. Her bottom beak and top beak are aligned right so... What's going on? Sorry, not very good pictures.

I had a barred rock that had a bent beak. I talked to my Papa about it, he said that normally happens when the baby is new and the beak is still soft. My mom now has the barred rock and she does fine. I don't even think she notices.

The problem would be if the upper beak and lower beak become misaligned as in a cross beak chicken. Right now it looks fine, but if you notice worsening or weight loss, do some research on cross beak chickens. Here is an article about how to deal with that:

It does not apear to be crossbeak. He is now a month old and his bottom and top beak are alined normally. His father and mother are not at all realated. He is eating well and he has not lost any weight at all. It couldn't be crossbeak because if they have it it starts appearing when they are a week old... Right?
