I think chick #1 is also a male. When I picked out my first Silkie I picked this little guy up first because he looked “unique” he had spots on top of his head lol and the others didn't... well now I know why but as for bearded or non-bearded I was wondering the same thing about this my 2 buff Silkies? This is my girl Cinnamon, Roo is up top. 3DBCF0E1-26D1-483F-AEDA-B83C6BA7653B.jpeg FCD4DD76-F045-47F6-9B5B-A4E46103B9F7.jpeg 37E03297-690C-430A-8F9B-1941E2AB30E8.jpeg

thank you, I just interjected knowing they may not respond, but maybe they'll read it in their inbox and be like "hmm... :old maybe it is an Ameracauna!"

It may very well be! I have an ameraucana/silkie cross, though her comb is different.

You can post photos of your silkie in question if you like on its own thread, I am sure you will get many responses. 😊

It's actually not a silkie. It was supposed to be a cochin. But it has 5 toes and looks like it has a crest and beard. Adorable chick, though. Maybe have a silkie ancestor.
