Nope, no way... unless you have one of those thingy's that detect heartbeats...... The shells are very very thick, I use to carve them. Emu eggs have 3 color layers Inside white thin layer, a light teal layer and then the colored, speckled outside layer. If they didn't hatch, I would turn it upside down and with a dremel tool etc. cut off a small section of the bottom, dump it out and use the shell.
