i left my spent grain in my mash tun over night once, the smell was Horrid!, as for feeding it to my chickens, I am new to chickens and 12-30 pounds of spent grain at one time is a little overkill for 6 chickens, I have used the grain for dog treats but it is good to know that the chickens will eat it also. I just dump it in my garden usuly and starting to grow hops this year. but Hoppy eggs? hmmmm

If I were going to dry that stuff, I'd set up some kind of solar oven contraption.
