Bento Box Fever!

i was at walmart yesterday and was looking through their tupperware section and they had some lock n locks along with some very small snack size containers. i know they're not from the lunch box people but they were very nice looking tupperwares.

Whoa--Wal*Mart is carrying Lock & Lock? That's great! I knew Target did, but we don't have a Target here. I'm glad you posted this!

Hey, I got your package this morning!!! Thanks so much! What are the little containers without lids for? I see there are soy containers, mayo containers, food picks, food dividers and small containers w/o lids... Pickles maybe? LOL I'm such a newb.

At any rate, I've got a box to post later today, I'm making dinner right now.

Agreed! Our Walmart is hit or miss. They usually don't have the smaller ones. But we have an odd lots here in the northeast called Ocean State Job Lot and they have great knock off Lock-n-Locks that work really well and all sizes are less than $2.00 each.

Glad they made it safe and sound

The lidless containers are good for any smallish thing that you dont want to touch other stuff, like berries or M&Ms- the sky is the limit. Enjoy!!! Oh, and the pierogies sound and LOOK great- I have never made them. Are they easy?

And the pierogies were SUPER easy. I couldn't believe it. I made mashed potatoes and added some pepper & sauteed onions. Then mixed 3 cups flour, 3 beaten eggs, 1/2 cup water and a pinch of salt in another bowl. Knead it until smooth and roll out thinly (about the thickness of an egg roll wrapper). Cut into circles with whatever you choose (I used a small dessert bowl). Put 1 tablespoon of the potatoes inside, then seal edges of dough with water and press. Cook however you want. We like them deep fried or pan fried with butter and onions.

Easy peasy. That recipe yields about 16-20 large pierogies and takes about 40 minutes prep.

my ichibankan order came in the other day. i was thrilled since i had ordered over 30 items! yes, feed the addiction. lol

i made sushi rolls with spam and i smeared cooked carrots on the rice. hopefully, he'll eat it with the carrot smear. two quail eggs molded with bear and rabbit faces, cut up apples and firm orange jello and a bag of cheetos just in case it's not enough food. he has "ramune candy" as his halloween treat.
