i've been a little disappointed because my son has been bringing home food, not eating all his bento items. it's sad when you work hard to make him something and he won't touch it.

so

i got him a new lunch box, a bakugan lunch box which he'd been wanting, with the deal that he would eat his lunch. we've also been making the lunches together and creating the cute hotdogs or sandwiches that he'll eat the next day. it seems to have helped. i'm hoping creating the lunches together (although it ends up taking 3 times as long to make the lunch) will help the situation.

Okay, here was Ian's lunch last night.

Homegrown Organic Raised Beef Roast. I broiled it like steak.
Steak Sauce to dip
Buttered Noodles with fresh ground pepper and fresh ground sea salt
Homemade Cinnamon Applesauce
A few mint candies to suck on instead of smoking. LOL He's trying to quit.

My BIL stayed here for 2 months and demanded his wife pack him 4 lunch meat sandwiches plus chips and stuff, every day. Ian has no problems eating anything I pack, which is usually pbj or leftovers.

Hey....I was thinking about all you Bento Box fans yesterday. I found these wax paper sandwich bags made by reynolds...they come in white and BROWN!! I love them...keeps the sandwich nice and fresh. I also use them to package my soaps...

my lunches have been just a combination of left overs in my cute lunch boxes lately.:|

there's miso marinated cod fish, rice, apple slices and the next box has edamame, yaki soba and jalapeno tortilla's slices, splash fried with sprinkles of sugar and cinnamon.
