Best Broody Breed?

I would like to have some hens that are really broody. What breed would you recomend? Right now I have Black Jersey Giants, but am open to any breed/size chicken.
Also, How many of my jersey giant eggs do you think a bantam hen could hatch?

Buff and White Orpingtons are supposed to be good brooders and mothers. I have one of each but they are only 10 weeks old, so time will tell...Also, Columbian Wyandotte, and Partridge Rock which are also very big and beautiful...Good Luck

silkies none of my cochins have ever set eggs, my silkie never gets off.

Silkies,Cochins and serama mixes will do the job. Right now I have so many serama mixes sitting on eggs,I'm overrun with them. I've heard silkies are good mothers,and one of my cochins is currently broody.

My Cochin was great as a broody...and a mama.
Also my Buff Orpingtons went broody quite often.

If you really want a broody hen . your more than likely not going to have one, Trust me!!

My brother has OEG and they seem to be fantastic broodys and mothers .. I on the other hand have orpingtons, wyandotte and bantam sablepoots and cant get them to sit longer than an hour
