best egg layers of brown eggs ??

Oh, btw, the only chickens I have ever had go broody were buff orpingtons, and they were religious about it. LOL
 
thanks catdaddy !! thats is the breed I was kinda looking at . They say they are good for the colder climates , it gets pretty cold where I live SO , the BUFF has it !

silkies may not be the best for egg laying but that was my choice for broody chickens. That is what is going to replace my incubator this year is the silkies I am gonna get. I will still have my egg layers though.

I have sexlinks, they each lay one per day. Also my production reds.. they also lay one a day. Then again. I have silver laced Wyandottes that also lay one a day! I am lucky like that, all my girls lay one egg per day!!!
