I have an 11 year old Jack Russell Terrier (Baby Shmoopy) and she has always had a sensitive stomach, but more so lately. I admit she hasn't been eating "quality" dog food, but I am so clueless when it comes to that stuff. She acts fine, but throws up yellow foam almost every day. I think it is her food so I was wondering if anyone could recommend a good brand of dog food for her. Thanks!

When was the last time she saw a Veterinarian? Since she's a senior doggy, and since this vomiting has become more frequent lately, I would take her in and have her checked over to rule out any other issues. Good luck!

It's been a couple years. I will take her soon. She seems to be perfectly fine, otherwise. That's what made me think it was the cheap food she was eating.

We went to my vet recently and said we were buying dog food from ShopRite. The vet said that we should not buy it from there because that was cheap food, and not to buy it from WalMart either, but from pet smart. We give both our ten year old dog and 13 week old puppy blue buffalo. I am not sure about the sensitive stomach, but I hope I helped!

Thank you, I will look into the Blue Buffalo brand.
I've tried the Purina sensitive systems, rachael ray nutrish, beneful, etc..they all seem to upset her stomach. Of course those are all cheaper brands.

If you do try a new food, even if it is promoted to be the best thing under the sun for your dog, I would start with the smallest bags you can obtain to see how your dog will react before shelling out for a huge bags. Only two foods have ever made my hardy dog noticeably unhealthy, and both were expensive, grain-free brands.

I'm going to try the Blue Buffalo Freedom grain free canned food. Hopefully the pet store here has it. The ingredient list is pretty short and there are no by-products.

Check out Taste of the Wild. My big box pet store has it. Its grain-free ingredient list is similar to that of Blue Buffalo, but it's a little bit less expensive. I switched my cat onto it after I noticed his coat was less shiny after eating cheap food for a year or so, and it perked him right up - he even has more energy.

If the change in behavior happened without any accompanying change in food, though, I would definitely advocate the vet trip.

Okay, I will check that one out as well. Thank you.

Had jack Russells for years and have seen this before. Best to get the vet to check it out but I reccommend a diet of chicken and rice for a sensitive digestion.
