I see you have posted on a thread in the new member section already. To start your own thread when you enter the new member section of the forum and see all threads there at the top there is a blue box that says " Start a new thread" click on that put your the title of your thread in and then your intro underneath then click submit and there you have your own thread. Hope this helps I will look out for you over there

I am VERY NEW at this chicken raising. And I am not computer savey. My hen house has to be raised off the ground because I can literly get 2 ft. flood in my yard. I need some help

Just click on the link and it will take you to that section. There should be a box with "start a new thread" click on that. Put your title in the box and your question underneath. Click submit and your thread should be started. Good luck with your coop

I had to step away. 'because of the moisture, days of rain, I've used hay on the muddy ground, but it's stinking. My hen house is apx. 7ft x 3-4ft by 3-4ft. I used the tinyest wire on sides and floor. But I want my hens to be healthy. I red about the black spots, I've read and read but didn't find any info about my Big Bertha and her loss of belly and but feathers. I did have a rooster, which I liked but he kept attacking and attacking me. The last time he broke my little finger. So I had my cousin put him down. I feel really, really sick about all this. I'm having problems typing cause of the finger. I am not one of these people who have a smart phone or stay on the computer all day. Just raining again and thought I'd find some help. Thanks.

@peaceneedslove Yes the post was for you. This is a thread for best practices to start a new thread and get help from that topic. From your first post you sounded like you needed help with raising your chicken house off the floor. That's why I added the coop and run design link. That link should still help with your questions about your run too and how best to deal with the mud. Big Bertha sounds like she is being feather pecked by other birds. Type feather pecking into the search there are many many threads on this.

I do usually search first. Sometimes though, in the "despair of the moment" one does not think clearly in that you are not the only one facing or having faced this problem. Fortunately, I did specify "diagnosing help" in my subject line and was able to get some feedback, to which I thank all those who responded.
