Hey Lee!
welcome-byc.gif

there's no egg prices on your website! and we need pics, LOTS of pics, of the birds, their eggs, the chicks, anything chicken related! Thanks for sharing. Post often!

Hi Everyone,

I waited two years and got tired of waiting. Found a breeder in Washington state that has her birds for breeding and show. I bought a trio from them in April and they are SPECTACULAR! They have just now started laying and I will be hatching babies in the Spring of 2011. BTW, I paid $185 for the trio.

That really wasn't the intention. What I wanted you to realize is that there are a lot of devoted, reputable breeders of her line. Where you end up going is up to you. I went else where after having to wait so very long. Two year wait, a bit much.

The Cottage Hill Line is another great line. In my opinion every bit as nice as Bevs. But thanks for looking at my site. Did you enjoy the pix of the birds? I just love all of my breeds.

Also, if you're specifying which 'color' of Maran you want that'll narrow it too. Someone on the list for only a month, but looking for X, might get theirs before the 500 people looking for Y.

We ever get our Some Day plans I'd love to have some of hers... they are beautiful.

Oh, I understand how difficult it can be to keep up with all the individuals interested in purchasing breeding stock, show poultry, hatching eggs and pets. I have a breeding program and I spend more time on my computer answering mail than I do with my birds. At least this time of year anyway. Spring is right around the corner and that will change.

I only mention going to another source for poultry when three things happen:

1. It is a direct line from what you want and the breeder is honorable
2. You have waited a considerable time, I think two years would qualify.
OR
3. You are wanted the birds for fun, rather than show or profit.

My Bev Devis trios is beautiful.. Love them. Will always have them. With that said I also have Cottage Hill birds and Wade Jeane birds. I truly believe that every one of these lines have something to offer the fanciers of this magnificent breed.
