Umm. Well. The mother silkie hen accidentally hung one of the babies and killed it. It got stuck in her “fur” by its neck.

Still felt bad taking their egg. They were so proud of it. Maybe I will give them some muscovy eggs. Otherwise maybe they will want the new gosling when they arrive.

I think they will be great moms, so we will see when my muscovy start laying. Who knows, maybe they will steal a nest.

I am smitten with these geese. I never knew geese could be such nice, personable birds.
