Supposed to be nice again today. The weekend is going to be cold though.

I still have to clean my incubator from my Ducklings hatch. I take it outside and dump it then I put in my tub and wash with dish soap. Viola it's good as new again..

Yesterday my crazy goats were up on the roof of my Chickens Coop and the Run too. I was not impressed. I walked away and they came down to follow me..

I always do a regular dish soap cleaning with my incubator too, but I also go over it a second time with a high quality natural sanitizer for a precaution, due too airborne bacteria.

Oh? Eggs are tough. I don't do anything. If a dirty Hen can hatch eggs out in the Coop I'm thinking my incubator is fine.

I like to make sure I have the best chance of hatching eggs in the incubator, that's why I take the cleaning seriously.

I have great success. Usually 100% hatch rates. I just do what I do. I don't get too worried.

One time I hatched 20 chicks and only had 19 eggs. I got twins..
Jeepers I thought I was losing my mind. I kept counting the Chicks and then counting the egg shells..

Yep. I'm not expecting all of my eggs to hatch. Some might quit early, since they were refridgerated a little over 3 weeks, but it will be a miracle if they do all hatch.

I've always wanted to try to hatch twins, but only got one double yolker last year, too late in the season for hatching eggs. It was fertile too.
