Biden - Palin Debate, Anyone watch it?

All I know is that they both lied, which is the name of the game and a BIG reason that I HATE politics. Politicians all the way around just lie. They promise, I don't care whether they are Republican or Democrats, and those promises very rarely happen. I the bottom line is that it is Congress who is large and in charge. Our recent proof of that was when they voted down the bail out bill that President Bush was trying to get passed. Don't get me wrong here! I'm not sure if the bail out bill is the best thing for our country. The point I'm trying to make here is that it is obvious where the power lies in this country and that certainly is not with the President of the United States. It lies with our Congress. I think (this is my personal opinion) that to see real "change" we are going to have to change the Congress. Our president can throw the ideas out onto the table, but it is ultimately the Congress that will make changes happen. NOT the president.

I want to vote for the Biden/Palin ticket....

And this comes as no surprise, PurpleChicken! If everyone followed the media, they would find that the media is voting Democrat, so who do you think that they will make look better?!?!

I also, am an independent. I do not lean one way or the other. I am just looking to vote for the lesser of the two evils, which will be hard to do this year.

Since I know so much about McCain that its impossible for me to vote for him... and I know so much about Hussein Obama that its impossible for me to vote for him, what in the world can I do?
IVe never missed a vote in my long life.. I felt it very important. but since Bush took the two elections that he served and I know in my soul and heart that he stole them.. how can I ever spend the 10 dollars in gas it will cost me to go vote?
I cant in good conscience vote for either one of them. period. and I know that is wrong..but its pointless. I sincerly feel that the outcome has been determined long ago.. long ago..by the rich men and things that really rule this world we live in.
we are all puppets putting on a play for some power somewhere. a huge monopoly game on some huge kitchen table as they pass us around and determine or fate.. left and right and up and down. sick and well and rich and poor. I do I sincerly do think this is out of anyones control. im through..

on a lighter side..
Bush was at his desk when the phone rang and He was told that early that morning 3 brazilians had been killed in Iraq. He turned gray and loosened his tie and thanked the caller. He sat in a sweat and hunched his back and took a deep breath.
He reached for his private phone and called up his advisor.. He asked Just how many is a brazillion?

As far as the Hussein name, if one can not keep an open mind that it's a name and not what he stands for is a problem as far as I'm concerned. That just shows how closed minded one can be. Remember this is America, the melting pot! Not everone one is named John Smith.

Obama is not just pulling our troops out cut and dry, but has a plan to transition power to the Iraq nation over time, with McCain, there is no end, no time line, nothing. The men and women have not and will continue to NOT die in vain. However I feel to keep them over there with no real plan to return our troops home is wrong.

Look it's an opinoin and we are all entitled, but make sure it's based on facts not little things like a name....

As an ACTIVE DUTY Soldier with three years in Iraq and 20 years of service, I really dread the thought of Obama as the Commander in Chief. It just blows me away that some people think we should have a time line set to withdraw from Iraq. If we set a timeline the insurgents and Al-Qida will do nothing but lay down and wait until we leave then jump right back in and destroy Iraq.

As far as Palin goes, I love her. She definately is not the typical Washington insider. To that I say THANK GOD.

My heart breaks for your father. His final thoughts must have been of his family.
He gave his life fighting for the benefit of the world. He was a hero.

I have heard similiar angry outcries against McCain from veterans. I am not a veteran.
If I was going down in my jet over North Vietnam I doubt I would pull the eject button
in fear of being caught. Maybe that makes me a coward. I don't know.

With that said the vast majority of veterans support McCain, especially the ones who
were jailed with him. Do their opinions not matter?

McCain is a man, a flawed one like us all, but unlike most of us he did risk his life in a
horrible war and spent 5 years in hell for it. That qualifies him as a hero in my book.

And to that, I say that is exactly what our country needs! She would definitely bring change to Washington as she is not already in on all of the government's corrupt ways.

God bless you for serving our country, by the way! My hat's off to you.
