Wow - After reading this whole thing, I'm just more confused. This and that, she said, he said, he's a he, she's a she, he did that, she did this, he's old, she's too young, my feelings after reading all of this is:

Ick

Yuck

Ack

Help, I want to vote, but how? We are all speculating, but not on one topic, but many, way too many topics. This is tough. I like to vote with my conscience but after it's all over, and the real show goes on, then we all start blaming each other for the problems because you voted for that person, or the other person. I guess we'll have to see what happens after the fact. As usual.

It ain't easy.

Yeah. We're going to need a good one. With all those oil reserves up there, Canada may need to watch itself.

Maybe Hugo can keep the peace.

We have been waiting for an invasion for years over those reserves. Isn't that how it is done these days?

Hugo could fly in under the radar without a problem.

kstaven, Yep that's the way it is, and we've got the population to do it. With global warming you should be able to farm in the Northwest Territories, so we'll just push you farther north.

I think Hugo would like it there, plenty of water, and lots of girl ducks.

You know you and I aren't going to agree on this!!

We'll just have to agree to disagree.

Katy, I don't judge anyone over their political or religious beliefs. And it's fun to disagree, adds spice to life, LOL

Yes, it would certainly be a very boring world if everyone thought alike.

Hey spatcher I am a women and I am not putting them down.I am simply saying that sending a women to deal with muslims is not the way to get anything accomplished. Look into the Koran it tells men to marry 4 times and to beat their wifes into submission. A Muslim will lie to a women and be proud he did it Thats part of the problem with this country they do not seem to recognize the dangers of the Muslim world. We have to deal with them unfortunately but truthfully how can you deal with a ideal that says kill all non muslims. I dont know about you but I can see the forrest for the trees. I also did not say I would vote for Obama. I plan to vote in big bold letters NONE OF THE ABOVE. We have enough local elections that I will worry about those before I worry about the presidency. besides they all say what you want to hear and do what they want when they get in.

But your boy ducks would have to learn to say "quack eh!"

I attended the Post Debate Rally last night. Sarah Palin was there with her family. I find it refreshing that she is an ordinary person I can relate to.. Alaskans tend to like the things she has done for them. There is room for her to grow but we would be electing her as Vice-President not President. Most of all I like the fact that she is not a Washington insider. I think she has done well for being on the national media scene for only 6 weeks.

In the interests of full disclosure, I am a non denominational christian, and a feminist. (And no, I don't think that those two things are incompatible.

) My roommate, who is also my best friend, is a non denominational muslim. We have whiled away many nights until the wee hours of the morning talking over religion and the differences and similarities between Christianity and Islam.

There are quite a few misleading statements in the quoted section above. The Qur'an does say that men can marry up to four women, if he treats each of them equally. (Historically, this came about because men had been killed in wars, and the social structure of the time dictated that women had better lives if they were married.) However, the Qur'an also has a section outlining women's rights. Jews and christians are called "People of the Book" and are to be respected by muslims, who believe that they worship the same God.

Of course some people who are terrorists also happen to be muslims, but treating every person who follows Islam as if they are terrorists is equivalent to treating all christians like they are members of the Westboro Baptist church. It's insulting and simplistic.

And as far as violence in the Qur'an goes - I can think of quite a few men in the Bible that had multiple wives, and passages where God instructed the Israelites to kill all of a certain people, down to the infants and the livestock. The Bible also instructs us to stone people for a number of offenses, and advocates a subordinate place for women both in marriage and the church.

Just as christians interpret the Bible and it's practices in order to respect other people and the law of the land, many muslims do the same. If we expect tolerance and respect from other people, I believe that we ourselves must embody it.

I will also say this I think someone with a special needs baby should be at home. How long is her 16 year old daughter going to take care of him. Being a working mother is tough enough but add to that the additional problems of a special needs child I really don't think she will have the time or attention to give to this office. Unless she plans on taking the family with her on all the trips that will be necessary as Vice President.

As for this, I don't think anyone would be asking this question if Sarah Palin were Sam Palin. I imagine that if McCain is elected, Governor Palin will discharge her vice presidential duties in the same manner as a man would.

I dislike Sarah Palin's policies, and I don't think that she is qualified for the office she is seeking, but it has absolutely nothing to do with her gender, her marital status, or her children.

Well, Obama will be the next president, but I'm voting for McCain anyway, simply because of Sarah Palin.

I think it would be so refreshing to have someone like her who is so down to earth become our next POTUS... I love what she believes in, I love her policies, I think she is beyond qualified, and I think its a shame that she won't win because of Acorn and other liberal groups who will steal the election through fraud and deceit.
