Big Dessert-Themed Hatch-Along

They’re all Maticoopx30s! They’re in our gaming room which has no AC vents but is really roomy so air quality is always nice in there. We can close the door if it gets chilly to keep in warmth or open if it’s too warm, but usually leave it cracked or half open. It usually stays right at the 70 we keep the house at. None are near any windows either as I read early on in my research direct sunlight is a no go. The cats have their towers in the main room/living room which is open to the kitchen, so we decided the gaming room was safest away from curious kitties. They’ll stand on their hind legs to look at it sometimes but can’t actually reach the incubators and don’t mess with them in here. So fur/dander isn’t really much of an issue either as far as extra “contaminants” go as they’re usually in our room or the living room.
Sounds like a great place for the machines! Cats seem to be attracted to incubators for some reason, must be some good smells coming out of the vents. 🤣

:ya :jumpy hurry up chickies, the timer is about to go "ding"! :jumpy

Yeah, it seems to be pretty steady! I was worried the door opening and closing would mess with the temp, but I did the govee in the one right by the door and kept opening and closing it rapidly to see if it messed with it. It really didn’t! Hubby did think I had lost my last marble though. 😂

Me, 100%!
Hubby's extra curious too if "Ketawas have laughing genetics." Like, if we mix a Ketawa roo with anything, if their roo babies will also have the crow. 🤣 Needless to say, a google search told us 'yes' and he's hoping ours is NOT a roo. (Though I think it'd be genetic through the hens too, which will prove to be a HILARIOUS discovery generations down the line if it's a hen, and she has chicks and we grow those).

Those laughing chickens are crazy aren't they?! I need one of those. 🤣

They are! I thought we'd lost the Ketawa somehow as not being one of our 6 (was expecting a white egg not brown) so I saw the "K" and got excited. Hubby's opinion is "if I get chased by a chicken that's LAUGHING about it, I'm going to be six different shades of irritated and afraid." :gig
