Big huge spider on me last night!!!

When I lived in Mexico, there was this huge spider walking across the floor, so I took a shoe and smashed it...BIG MISTAKE.....Like a gazillion itty bitty spiders ran in a million different directions!

Of course I did this a couple more times until a light bulb went off to spray the spider instead of smashing it! EWWWWWWWWWWWW!

I was really freaked out by spiders after that!

When we were on a mission trip in Mexico there were roaches the size of my thumb in the house, they are just there and no one notices. We had issues sleeping...

Wolf spiders won;t hurt you. Be very happy it wasn;t a scorpion. BTW, the small ones are the really dangerous ones, at least in the US.

Learning to deal with God's little creatures is part of living in the Southwest. Chickens can wipe out scorpions in no time.

Always shake out your clothes and shoes before you put them on.
Never put your hand where you cannot see what is there. Black widows need to be squashed to make sure they are dead, but their egg sacks need to be burned with a match. Turn rocks and boards and trash over with a rake, not your hand.

Palm trees are loaded with scorpions.

Some houses seem to be worse than others for bugs. Old adobes used to always have scorpion problems.

Bug bomb the house regularly.
