Wow, this is pretty cool! Amazon has a cool feature (either new or just new to me) that shows where an author's book ranks relative to other books in Amazon's book store:
Per Amazon:
Per Amazon:
The Amazon Bestsellers Rank History feature is a chart of your book's Amazon Bestsellers Rank over time. The Bestsellers Rank does not incorporate sales from any of our international websites. We use Bestsellers Rank to show how well books in the catalog are selling relative to each other. Like golf, lower numbers are better. A paperback book with a rank of #1 is the best-selling book in the Books store, but not necessarily the best-selling item across all products sold on Amazon. Your print books are ranked among books in our Books store, and your Kindle books are ranked among free or paid books in the Kindle store.
So, since I hadn't seen this before I thought I'd pull up the data for this year. Well, the "Bestsellers Rank" for Raising Chickens for Dummies bounces all over the place... the lowest is around like #10,000 to a usually above 1,000 during April!!!
... but the cool part: on April 19th of this year, Raising Chickens for Dummies... you ready... got to # 552!!! So, on that day, the official book of BYC was the #552 bestseller of all books on Amazon. How cool is that!?!
So, here's to achieving our vision: A chicken in every yard!
