Thanks everyone! I have lots of research to do now! We have 8 Dominique’s right now so won’t be adding anymore until next spring. I’m looking for chubby/fluffy. Not tall!

I absolutely love my giant cochins. The eggs ARE very small for sure. Yes my giants lay small eggs and not frequently.

Bantam cochins are very sweet birds by the way.

Spotted Sussex or any Sussex are a amazing quirky and fun breed. They lay well but tend towards broodiness.

I love the big chickens! What’s the biggest breeds? Not meat birds. Looking for backyard pets.

Biggest breeds for weight and height when bred correctly are:

Brahmas
Jersey Giants
Sussex (from traditional UK lines)
Orpingtons (well bred not hatchery trash)
Standard Cochins
Plymouth Rocks (Not hatchery stuff, I mean the real birds)

English Orpingtons or some good quality "not hatchery" Cochins sounds like what you are looking for.

I have two Black Jersey Giant hens, can't wait to see them grow big, but I'm interested in many of the Oriental Game Fowls too that as mentioned can stand quite tall. For big, tall and hardy I would say Leige Fighter, and the heavier Bruges Fighter (both Belgian breeds) are all around big chickens.
