Bird Flu In Washington- Info and discussion thread

I’m in Oregon.
I suppose if things got bad I would cut my birds off from their run, which is uncovered. They’d be incredibly unhappy but we’d make do.
But right now, they have an uncovered run and we’ve got a lot of songbirds.

Can someone remind me how many cases are in Oregon?

I have five hens. I’d miss them dearly if they had to be put down. But I know I’ve given them good lives.
I sure hope nothing happens though.

Just found out there was a case 7 minuets down the road from me. How big is the surveillance zone? Actually makes me wonder if I'm in it.

The town is 7 minuets from me, its a very small town. Not sure exactly where in that town, but its very very close. I have a friend who lives towards the back of the area, where it turns into the next town just a little after that. I can drive to her house in about 15 minuets.
