The article is not correct about the vaccines. It says:
  • Vaccine Resistant: To combat bird flu spread, other countries have authorized poultry vaccines, but the U.S. has held off amid political and economic opposition.
The Netherlands was the first country that developed AI vaccines. Its a pilot until 2027. The amounts of produced vaccines are not sufficient for large scale use yet.

I don’t know if the other parts of the article are correct.

Lots of the info is not about the HPAI /H5N1 .
France has the same rules and regulations about vaccinations as we have (EU). Hope you are right about the H5N1 vaccines and they will actually start to vaccinate sooner now bc it becomes more urgent. We had much more contaminated wild birds and so many outbreaks this autumn.

The United States Department of Agriculture on Friday confirmed that a case of highly pathogenic avian influenza in a Wisconsin dairy herd marked a new spillover event from wildlife to cattle, separate from previous outbreaks.
The virus, identified as H5N1 clade 2.3.4.4b genotype D1.1., was confirmed through whole genome sequencing by the National Veterinary Services Laboratories on December 17, USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service said in a statement.
