As of this morning....I have three BLCMs and one splash Marans/Blue Orp mix.. Glad Im heading out to work. or Id be staring at it all day.

So..this weekends hatch appears to have come to an end. Ive got 6 that are doing great. The last one to pip ran into some issues. It zipped about a quarter of the way around and stopped and stayed like that for a few hours. Then the rest of the chicks started pecking at it through the hole.I was going to take the others out..but was afraid it would get a case of shrinkwrap. After a while..I pulled a little more of the shell off and minutes later it got out.....although it doesn't look good. It was very wet... and possibly still has its abdomen open. I put the other 6 in the broader.. and will go back and check on the other in a while.

Good News...looks like Old Number 7 made it through the night...and is very vocal in the bator by itself. So, even though its very matted looking, I moved it in with the other fuzzy butts. while moving it and clearing out the other eggs and shells, I did find one that had a pip and was making a faint peep noise.... so I closed things back up quick...and will see what happens. I am soooo glad I am at work today and wont be watching.
