Mine too! He is so proud to give to his cowboy buddies who go crazy for them- he will even clean us out lol.

Absolutely! The haole missionaries turned sugar barons brought in vaqueros to manage their cattle. We call them paniolos ♡ They still work via horse back in the rough country. Not a lot but we have. We also have the rodeo types but I was referring to the cattle handling, fence fixers lol

Hi long lost gang! Is it spring yet?!
I have a friend who got out of the breeding business a few years ago. I have bought trays in his incubator a few times when doing a bigger hatch than my little bator could do. Just on a whim I asked if he would be interested in selling his cabinet incubator after I filled my 20 bator yesterday. He said yes! I mentioned it to DH and he got all kine upset with me and we went a little round and round. I think it is his control issues (and parenting a spouse issues ) anywho, I think I am going to pull a blackacre (coined phrase) or a Beth's mom and just get the thing and let the chips fall. I'm trying not to be upset with dh, though I see his logic, I see mine more.
Anywho, I have 3 awesome and empty brooders, 2 empty rooter pens... I'm thinking I more than have this. It's a sweet deal and it is my $$. So... think it is a done deal.

Good for you TB!! Can't wait to see all the cute little babies I have spent much of my life wishing I could find a group of people that I truly feel I can connect to...I like a lot of things and enjoy a lot of people, but I have never felt a full blown obsession for any of it nor like I had met kindred spirits that feel the same way I do...until I found chickens!! Chicken people might just be the best people hehe. This thread is full of awesome chicken people and it makes me so happy!

I absolutely feel the same! Byc is my happy place. Its the only platform of ‘social media’ in my life and its great! Nothing but chicken talk with what i think are some of the kindest people i have ever shared with. the threads about baking is cool too and the random personal threads are all heartfelt and everyone is so kind and forgiving and understanding. Unless of course there is an unsafe, or unhealthy environment for chickens. They will get their feathers all ruffled making sure they address and educate. And i love that. Like i said before i wish we could all get together and talk chickens all day, but BYC is the next best thing. Thank you again. Ya’ll know who u are.
