I absolutely feel the same! Byc is my happy place. Its the only platform of ‘social media’ in my life and its great! Nothing but chicken talk with what i think are some of the kindest people i have ever shared with. the threads about baking is cool too and the random personal threads are all heartfelt and everyone is so kind and forgiving and understanding. Unless of course there is an unsafe, or unhealthy environment for chickens. They will get their feathers all ruffled making sure they address and educate. And i love that. Like i said before i wish we could all get together and talk chickens all day, but BYC is the next best thing. Thank you again. Ya’ll know who u are.

In the german counterpart of BYC there are meetings of chicken lovers I traveled to a lot of meetings, it is so nice, everybody brings foods ( lots of it) you exchange chicken stories, advice , hatching eggs, plants, and everybody gets along and you talk from dawn til after dusk ...,I also met other chicken lovers in other countries through the contact with the forum, and they also had chicken fan meetings, we usually pick a long weekend , the last 2 years there was nothing, cos of COVID-19, maybe this year in summer they will start up again

Well today wasa bit milder so I had the gang minus the broody bunch and Sophia (the great pretender) who was laying an egg (for real this time haha), out on Mount Poopmore. Not sure what they were finding but they were enjoying it!

Absolutely! The haole missionaries turned sugar barons brought in vaqueros to manage their cattle. We call them paniolos ♡ They still work via horse back in the rough country. Not a lot but we have. We also have the rodeo types but I was referring to the cattle handling, fence fixers lol

Hey how did it go with you new incubator?

Just picked it up today! Not going to fire it up for a bit. Gunna do a big clean and find a good home for it in our shop... the she side of the shop where it will be cleaner and more organized

As far as DH went.. . Well he is not happy that he did not get his way but seems to be getting over it. We just kind of had a throw down over chickens free ranging in the yard. I think he was once again upset that his dog dug a hole in the lawn under my truck so the chickens get on the sh*t list.. I told him that Google maps has not updated the satelite photo of our property in 10 years and he was welcome to view the pre chicken desert and asses the undamage.
