Black Australorps Hen or Roo?

I have been questioning if my dear Nellie is in fact a Nelson. Nellie is a Black Australorp chicken, around 6 weeks old. Supposed hatch date 3/30/15. I bought her from a local farm supply store who orders from Meyers.

Nellie was the first to develop a comb and her tail is drastically different from her sister's. It's almost like the middle tail feathers are missing and forming more of a U shape. Her feet are also thicker.


In this first photo Nellie is in the middle of the photo. Right below her is Agatha, also another Black Australorp.









I hope my photos turn out okay. Basement light is not ideal.

Nothing is screaming rooster to me. At this age, Aussie boys are usually pretty apparent with a red comb.

Comb is really yellow still, so I guess pullet, as well.
