I could never put him through the trip. Sorry. The stress on him would be tremendous. He is gorgeous. Thank you for your generous offer but they are such a sweet and gentle breed I would be so afraid he would not make it. I am in Pennsylvania and I have found that even my own chicks only moving a short distance find it hard to adjust. Maybe I spoil them too much but they do go through a measure of stress.

The lady on Ebay who goes by Julie1810 has feathered leg CBM'S. I am getting some cuckoo maran eggs from her this week and she seems pretty nice and knowledgeable - but don't know much else about her or the quality of her eggs/chickens.

Well I know that I am new but I advise against buying anything from that one. I bought brown leghorns from her and she sent old eggs--the whites were ALL runny. I was patient and kind and asked her to replace them because I had seen on her feedback where it had looked like someone had unfairly gave her neutrals and she replied that the person did not give her an opportunity to replace the eggs. SOOOOO She then proceeded to only give me $5 off another order of eggs. Right then I should have filed a dispute but I went ahead and bought another order--knowing at the time she was the ONLY seller on ebay with brown leghorns. In the meantime I had found another person with brown leghorns and bought from him. Every egg he sent me hatched. 100% hatch rate. Julie, AGAIN, sent me eggs that had not been gathered until they had already started to develop. I told her I had examined them upon arrival and that cell division had already been allowed to begin and that they were not any good.

She then accused me of trying to get free eggs (after I paid a SECOND TIME for the same eggs) put in my follow-up feedback (of 100%) that I was a Dishonest person and said that everything I just told you was a lie. But if you go into the feedback all the evidence of the sales and the price differences--everything proves I am telling the truth. I just felt secure in giving her the feedback she deserved because of the new system.

I know nobody knows me yet here, but I have had some really good egg sellers send me FINE eggs from ebay then I have seen people like her who plageurises McMurray Hatcheries descriptions and uses their photos instead of showing pictures of her own birds and takes people for their money. My best guess is that none of your eggs are going to hatch because she is too busy to gather them in time. she also sends them wrapped up in paper towels. Mine had hairline cracks in half. Only the buyer never sees this until the egg just doesn't hatch and he or she chalks it up as fate.

Take my advice and never leave feedback until you are satisfied with your hatch--and make them mark the parcel "DO NOT XRAY-PERISHABLE HATCHING EGGS." Then you are covered. Postal employees really aren't THAT disrespectful.

beautiful as he is... he is one of two cockerels I need to place. In the absence of homes, they go to a Vietamese guy that feeds his family with my extra birds. His adios date is next weekend. He has a couple white flight feathers on his other wing, and a few in his feet feathering, not enough to show when he is walking around, but if he flaps his wings you can see them. I have to choose two, and he is one. The other I'm not sure which will go. I thought I was sure a few weeks ago, as one boy had golden instead of copper hackles. Now he is molting and his hackles are coming in copper and he is getting nice shoulder brown as well... hmmmmmmmmm.... what do I do.... Anyone? Anyone?

So, I looked back and couldn't find the chain on the incubator settings and humidity, but the person here I was talking about-her user name is Katy- hatches her own out and has hatched the Wheatens from e-bay. I believe she said she has had Marans for 6 years. Perhaps she can help you with some advice.

Good luck-be sure and post some pics!

I have some from Jesse Bryant in Franklin Ga. I have 3 hens and a roo that should start laying hopefully by Oct. and then I have 4 more that are only about 2 months old, and I think 3 of those are roors and If that is so I will have to sell a couple of those roos , I will have too many If you are intrested In talking with him pm me and I will put you in touch with him.

That seller would be Julie3810 advertising her IMPORTED eggs who is one in the same I was talking about in my previous post of getting ripped off on ebay.

My advice is to STAY AWAY from her BLOWN OUT OF PROPORTION auctions. Her chickens are raised from McMurray Hatchery stock and I am not sure where she is buying the BCM eggs. Please feel free to cross-reference her flowery words with McMurray Hatcheries' bird descriptions and check out where she is getting her artwork. McMurrayHatcheries.com

I really can't believe I am finally speaking out. I was NEVER outspoken like this before. It feels good.

She uses stock pictures of some of the birds and claims others are of her own stock. I have personally been ripped off by her. Not only that, I was then called dishonest and accused of trying to get free eggs.

Bev's eggs sound like a wonderful line. That is what I would like to have. Actually, I am looking for a dozen now that I know exactly what to do with the humidity. Very tricky humidity.
