And since I brought up BTWs. BTW I can't truly control myself at times. Ive thought about working on that but I've got too many other projects going on.

I have bred them a couple times and the chick looks like a brown partridge in my opinion. Very sweet birds and lots of energy. They will rule the roost!

impressed about your interest for breeding chooks at that early age .BRAVO . hope you will turn into great chooks breeder in the future , good luck .
here how the crosses will look like = Black copper marans X RIR = all the chicks will hatch black with some white one them { like BCM chicks } with some brown hues on they head . they will look when fully mature like BC but darker copper copper more of Mahogany .

Black copper X Americans ? what color .= all chicks will be OE lay green eggs .

Black copper X Wheaten marans = will chicks will hatch Black with some white on them ,more white than normal BC chicks . they will look when fully mature like BC but with a lot of yellow in they hackle and chest. they will lay dark eggs .

Buff genetics are complicated but, when I put the BCM roo X Buff hen into the calculator it showed that the roos should look like their dad & the hens should be "khaki"....which is a pretty rare color This is the simplified version of the chicken calculator so, the BCM genetics may be more complicated than the info I entered.
